Ginger Stinson, Principal

The beginning of a new school year brings about a buzz of excitement, and I am eager to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year! I am honored to serve as the principal of Salem Elementary School, and I look forward to partnering with you to provide your child(ren) with a positive and nurturing learning environment.

I graduated from the Burke County school system and continued my education at Appalachian State University where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Master of Arts Degree in Reading Education, and an add-on license in School Administration. In the 20 years I have worked with Burke County Public Schools, I have taught elementary school and served as a high school assistant principal.

I currently reside in Rutherford College with my husband, Mark, and we have two daughters, Lainey and Callie. We love visiting Disney World, and I am a huge fan of the Carolina Panthers and App State football.
